At the beginning of our marriage, TJ and I agreed that by our 5th wedding anniversary we would be serving where the need is great. After reading the 2015 Yearbook of Jehovah’s Witnesses (JW Dominican Republic) and having a small glimpse of this life on our honeymoon (TTFC Dominican Republic), we decided the Dominican Republic would be the ideal place for us. We slowly started working towards our goal by becoming TESOL Certified, simplifying our lifestyle and saving our money. Then, on April 6, 2017, we were on a one-way flight to the DR. Fast forward to over a year later – what a rollercoaster ride it has been! But neither of us would change it for the world. This experience has and continues to change us in ways we didn’t think possible. This is our story. We hope you enjoy “stepping into Macedonia” with us by means of this blog.
