France

Location: Paris, France

Travel Time: July 16-17, 2014

Alas, our European adventure had finally come to an end. 30 days, 9 countries, 2 pioneers and 1 amazing trip. Words cannot express how many memories were created. For our final destination, we found ourselves in Paris, France. Paris was not on the original itinerary schedule, however, since we were flying on a ‘buddy-pass’ back to the United States, Paris was the location with the best seats available. We stayed at the Citizen M hotel just outside the airport (https://www.citizenm.com/destinations/paris/paris-charles-de-gaulle-hotel). The price was great and you could tell the hotel was fairly new. After checking in, Tj and I decided to make our last night in Europe a memorable one. So we took the train down to the heart of Paris: Champs-Elysees.

We had a nice dinner for two and simply roamed about the streets laughing about some of our favorite memories of our trip. Of course, we saw Sephora which had me super excited (for those who don’t know, I work for Sephora here in Chicago). We then loaded up on tea and delicious macaroons at Laduree. The night, as one might guess, would not be complete without a visit to the iconic Eiffel Tower. Seeing the Tower light up at night was really the icing on the cake.

The next day, it was time to wake up to reality; to fly back home to Chicago, Illinois. We will never forget our first time together in Europe and we are looking forward to traveling again in the future. It is our hope that this blog post was informative for anyone who might be planning a trip themselves. We know there is still plenty more for us to see, so please feel free to comment below any ideas or suggestions you may have for travel. If you have any questions or would like more information on a specific location, please don’t hesitate to email us directly. If we met you while on our trip, thank you for all of the love that was shown and we hope to see you again soon. Very soon!
